Laurie Berke-Weiss focuses her practice on all aspects of employment law. Ms. Berke-Weiss has over 30 years’ experience in state and federal litigation, arbitration and mediation. She litigates claims of sexual harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination, Family Medical Leave Act and pregnancy rights, and non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants in federal and state courts and before government agencies. Ms. Berke-Weiss also negotiates employment contracts and severance agreements, handles partnership issues, provides advice and counsel on workplace policies and procedures, and conducts workplace investigations.

Rosa Aliberti started working as a paralegal with Laurie Berke-Weiss in 2008, and completed her law degree from the evening division of St. John’s University School of Law. Rosa has worked on diverse labor and employment law matters, including wage and hour cases; workplace investigations; severance, employment, and non-compete agreements; has drafted and responded to discrimination complaints before government agencies, including the U.S. EEOC and NYS Division of Human Rights; and has handled matters in federal and state court litigations. Alex Berke is an employment litigator and provides advice and counsel on sex harassment and discrimination cases, including pregnancy, disability, race and gender discrimination. Alex also provides advice and counsel regarding employer policies, health insurance and COBRA eligibility for employees and employers.
