Berke-Weiss Law Says Goodbye to Their Wonderful 2024-2025 Student Law Clerk!

Last Thursday marked the final day at Berke-Weiss Law for our wonderful student law clerk, Fordham Law student Eileen Farrell. Eileen joined the Firm as a summer law clerk in 2024 and continued to work with the Firm throughout the school year. We are so appreciative of her hard work, thoughtful questions, and helpful research. Her contributions were felt throughout the firm, and we will miss having her as a member of the team. The firm wishes Eileen well as she leaves to embark on her 2L summer!

“She-cession” Global, Not Local

Whether it is increasing the number of hours spent working, picking up the slack in domestic life, being forced to quit to take care of children or other family, or leaving the job market entirely, women in the US have taken the brunt of the pandemic’s resulting economic crisis, so much so that it has been dubbed the first “she-cession.” The Financial Times has released a survey demonstrating that this is an issue for women internationally, not just in the United States.
